JiLin Carbon Fiber Prepreg adopts an advanced full-process industrial chain—from our own Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursor fibers and signature wet-spun carbon fibers to precision resin impregnation, hot pressing, cooling, film covering, and winding. This vertical integration ensures perfect fiber-resin interface, consistent resin content, superior tack and drape, excellent wettability, and low void content. Whether for aerospace, automotive lightweighting, UAVs, wind energy, sports equipment, medical devices, or rail transit, our high performance carbon fiber prepreg delivers reliable quality, precise customization, and fast delivery.
Global No. 1 Carbon Fiber Prepreg Production Capacity & Equipment
JiLin Carbon Fiber Prepreg possesses the world’s largest integrated production capacity, supported by state-of-the-art hot-melt and solvent coating lines. This enables rapid response, highly customized resin content, and stable supply for global customers.
Carbon Fiber Prepreg Quality Control
Precise Resin Content ControlResin content tolerance reaches an international leading level (±2% or better), managed through high-precision metering and online monitoring. This ensures batch-to-batch consistency, excellent flow behavior during curing, and minimal void content in final composite parts.
Superior Wetting from Wet-Spun Carbon FiberFibers undergo specialized surface activation immediately after carbonization. Combined with our wet-spinning technology, this delivers outstanding resin impregnation, eliminating dry spots and improving interlaminar shear strength.
Optimized Tack and Drape ControlEvery prepreg roll is manufactured with precisely controlled tack levels suitable for hand lay-up, automated tape laying (ATL), and automated fiber placement (AFP). Supports 8 different tack grades to meet various process requirements.
Advanced Tension and Alignment SystemDuring impregnation, every carbon fiber tow or fabric is equipped with precision tension control to ensure perfect fiber alignment and uniform areal weight.
Low Volatile Content & Clean SurfacePre-treatment and cleaning processes remove surface impurities and sizing residues. The final prepreg surface is clean, fuzz-free, and ready for high-end applications.
Stabilized High-Performance Prepreg

JiLin’s unique prepreg stabilization technology provides ideal tack, drape, and deformation resistance while maintaining outstanding flow characteristics during cure. The prepreg can be easily handled, cut, and laid up without distortion, making it particularly suitable for complex structural components and Class-A surface applications.
Our stabilization process does not affect resin flow or final mechanical performance. Suitable for autoclave, press molding, RTM hybrid processes, and oven curing.
Excellent handling characteristics, reduced wrinkles, superior surface quality, and enhanced fatigue performance. Ideal for aerospace, automotive, wind energy, and medical applications requiring the highest reliability.
Stabilized/Set Carbon Fiber Fabric: Unique Shape Stability
The adhesive spraying process of JiLin Carbon Fiber Fabric is our distinct feature, providing excellent shape retention capabilities suitable for composite applications requiring high stability. This stabilized design further reinforces the performance stability of our carbon fiber cloth under extreme conditions.
Carbon Fiber Prepreg Products
JiLin Carbon Fiber Prepreg is available in Unidirectional (UD), Woven (Plain/Twill), and Multi-axial configurations. We flexibly match carbon fiber grade, resin system (epoxy, phenolic, BMI, etc.), and resin content to meet exact project requirements.
UD Prepreg
Woven Prepreg

Unidirectional Carbon Fiber Prepreg (UD Prepreg)
JiLin UD Prepreg features highly aligned carbon fibers in a single direction with precisely controlled resin content. It delivers maximum strength and stiffness in the fiber direction, making it the preferred choice for primary aerospace structures, wind turbine spar caps, automotive crash structures, and high-performance sporting goods.

Woven Prepreg (Plain/Twill Prepreg)
JiLin Woven Prepreg is manufactured using high-quality plain or twill carbon fiber fabrics impregnated with tailored epoxy or high-temperature resin systems. It offers excellent drapeability, superior surface finish, and is widely used in automotive interiors, UAVs, marine components, and sporting equipment requiring both structural performance and aesthetic quality.

Carbon Fiber Prepreg Applications
JiLin Carbon Fiber Prepreg FAQ
- Is JiLin carbon fiber prepreg suitable for Class-A surface applications?Yes. Our high performance prepreg offers excellent surface quality, minimal print-through, and consistent resin distribution, making it ideal for visible automotive, marine, and aerospace parts.
- Does the tack level affect resin wettability or final mechanical properties? No. Our optimized tack is carefully formulated to provide excellent handling while maintaining superior flow during cure. Wet-spun carbon fiber further enhances interface bonding.
- What is the shelf life and out-time of your carbon fiber prepreg?Standard epoxy prepregs offer 12–18 months in freezer (-18°C) and 20–30 days out-time at room temperature (depending on resin system). We can customize longer out-time formulations.
- Which molding processes is your prepreg suitable for?Autoclave, compression molding, oven curing, automated fiber placement (AFP), and hybrid RTM processes. We provide full technical support including cure cycle recommendations.
- Can you customize resin content, fiber type, and resin system?Yes. We flexibly adjust resin content (25%–45%), carbon fiber modulus, and resin chemistry (epoxy, phenolic, high-temperature, flame-retardant, thermoplastic compatible, etc.) according to your requirements.
- Are there issues with voids or inconsistent resin distribution?Extremely rare. Our advanced coating technology and wet-spun carbon fiber ensure near-perfect impregnation. Void content is typically below 1–2% in properly cured parts. Third-party test reports available.
- How does your prepreg compare to imported Japanese or American brands?Performance is equivalent or superior in many applications, with better fiber-resin compatibility due to our own wet-spun carbon fiber. We offer significantly better pricing, larger capacity, faster delivery, and full technical support.
- What is the MOQ and lead time for custom carbon fiber prepreg?Flexible MOQ: standard items from 1 roll, custom from 500–1000 m². Lead time for standard specifications is usually 7–15 days.
- Do you provide certification and testing reports?Yes. CNAS laboratory provides full mechanical, thermal, and chemical test reports (tensile, compression, ILSS, DSC, LOI, etc.). We support aerospace, wind energy, and automotive certifications.
- Is your carbon fiber prepreg suitable for high-temperature or flame-retardant applications?Yes. We offer specialized high-temperature epoxy, phenolic, and flame-retardant (UL94 V0, FAR 25.853) prepreg systems.
- What are the certification and testing standards for the Carbon Fiber Fabric?Batch testing standards, with one COA report covering 1-100 rolls; CNAS certified laboratory measures physical and chemical indicators such as carbon fiber/product tension, compression, bending, and Limit Oxygen Index. Passed fatigue tests and meets flame retardant requirements (such as UL94 V0); third-party test reports are provided. The weaving workshop maintains constant temperature and humidity to ensure Grade A quality.
- Why choose JiLin instead of importing prepreg from Japan, USA or Europe? You get equivalent or better performance (especially wettability and interface strength due to our wet-spun carbon fiber), significantly better pricing, full-process technical support, faster delivery, and elimination of international supply chain risks. We are a strategic partner for long-term stable supply.
