    Unidirectional Carbon Fiber Fabric (UD)
    Unidirectional Carbon Fiber Fabric (UD)
JiLin Unidirectional Carbon Fiber Fabric (UD) is a unidirectional fabric with highly concentrated carbon fibers aligned in a single direction and stabilized by fine transverse weft yarns (or threads) in the opposite direction. It delivers exceptional strength and modulus in specific orientations, making it widely applicable in high-tech fields such as aerospace, sports equipment, and structural reinforcement.

    Multiaxial Carbon Fiber Fabric (MX)
    Multiaxial Carbon Fiber Fabric (MX)
JiLin Multiaxial Carbon Fiber Fabric or Non-Crimp Fabric (NCF) are engineered textiles composed of multiple, multiple layers of continuous carbon fiber of continuous carbon fibers. Each layer, or 'ply,' is aligned in specific directions—such as 0°, +45°, -45°, or 90°—and stitched together with a lightweight stitching yarn. This deliberate orientation creates a high-strength, lightweight reinforcement that can efficiently handle complex multi-directional loads in composite structures, eliminating the need for labor-intensive manual layups of individual unidirectional layers.

Plain/Twill Weave Carbon Fiber Fabric (CWP/CWT)
JiLin Plain/Twill Carbon Fiber Fabric is woven from 1K to 12K carbon fiber tows in a plain or twill weave, combining the structural reinforcement of carbon fiber with the flexibility and processability of textiles. JiLin Plain/Twill Carbon Fiber Fabric is relatively soft, easy to stack, and possesses excellent conformability. It features outstanding resin wettability, is compatible with various resins, and provides high efficiency during impregnation and cutting. Product specifications and indicators can be flexibly adjusted according to customer needs. It is mainly applied in wind power generation, automotive lightweighting, sports and leisure equipment, construction reinforcement, and aerospace fields.

    JiLin Carbon Fiber Fabric FAQ

    • Is this Carbon Fiber Fabric suitable for Class-A surface applications? How is the cosmetic quality?
Yes, it supports surface applications with high cosmetic requirements. The carbon fiber fabric uses a spray adhesive process so the pattern does not deform; carbon fiber tows undergo a spreading action when coming off the production line to ensure minimal light leakage after weaving and uniform fabric surface carbon fibers, enhancing aesthetics. Carbon fiber tows undergo a spreading operation before entering the weaving machine to reduce gaps in the finished fabric and remove fuzz; fuzz on the front side is scraped off during winding to achieve a fuzz-free surface. The locking edge uses 100D fine polyester thread, which does not protrude from the fabric surface, making it suitable for high-end automotive interiors or aerospace surface lamination.
    • Does the stabilized Carbon Fiber Cloth affect resin wettability?
No, it will not. The stabilized carbon fiber fabric has no negative impact on resin wettability. The wet-process carbon fiber has excellent interface properties, suitable for epoxy/thermoplastic resin systems. Comparison results can be provided for reference to ensure uniform resin distribution during the rolling stage. Weight and thickness tolerances are strictly controlled, and areal density deviation of the UD carbon fiber fabric is minimal, providing zero-wrinkle products that support RTM, autoclave, and VIP molding processes.
    • How is the fabric stability of the Carbon Fiber Fabric? Is the fabric prone to fraying after cutting?
The stability is high, and it does not fray easily after cutting; the prepreg form is even more stable. We adopt precision tension control: the creel is placed above with a long carbon fiber path, using springs to adjust the tension of each creel bobbin; during the threading stage, every carbon fiber tow is equipped with a tension meter to unify tension. Harness frames support 8-door adjustment (4HS structure achievable). Warp breakage control is at a global leading level, with no more than 5 broken filaments per 100m of fabric surface, handled with splice treatment. The stabilized carbon fiber fabric can be lifted by a single corner without deformation or distortion.
    • Are there issues with missing tows, skipped tows, or broken filaments? Will these affect usage?
These occur extremely rarely; the fabric surface carbon fibers are uniform. Warp breakage control is strict, allowing no more than 5 broken filaments per 100m of fabric surface (actually fewer), with splice treatment. Besides affecting aesthetics, missing or skipped carbon fiber tows could lead to uneven local strength, but our constant temperature and humidity workshop and weaving machines (max 2200mm width) ensure uniformity, making it suitable for aircraft repair or construction applications.
    • Is the packaging of the Carbon Fiber Fabric prone to indentations during transport?
No. Professional packaging design: Carbon cloth paper tube inner diameter 70mm, outer diameter 90mm, wall thickness 10mm; side three-layer cardboard pallets; plastic wrapping after winding, with an outer layer of plastic bubble film to ensure transport safety and avoid indentations. The COA report is placed in the carton, with one report covering a batch test of 1-100 rolls.
    • What are the capacity and lead time for JiLin Carbon Fiber Fabric? Do you support high delivery speeds?
We have world-leading capacity: 150+ weaving equipment, equivalent to 180+ units (1m width counts as one unit); full coverage of 1K-25K tows. 1 million square meters of 3K 200gsm can be completed in just 1 month. High delivery speed is our core strength, supporting rapid response.
    • What are the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and width specification options?
MOQ is flexible: Standard specifications start from 1 roll, non-standard from 1000m. Conventional widths are 1000mm (precisely controlled to actually reach 1005mm) and 1270mm; actual manufacturing can select ultra-narrow up to 2200mm.
    • How is the resin compatibility? Which molding processes are suitable?
Resin compatibility is strong, and we provide technical matching support. Wet-process carbon fiber has good wettability, suitable for epoxy/thermoplastic/phenolic resins; for automotive lightweighting, thermoplastic systems are more suitable for high-speed RTM processes. Supports full processes including autoclave, VIP, lost wax method, and prepreg. It can meet applications in construction repair, shipbuilding, and aircraft repair.
    • Which application models are recommended for construction repair, shipbuilding, or aircraft repair?
Recommendations are distinguished by application: Small tows (like 1K) are used for high-precision aircraft repair, providing zero-wrinkle UD fabric; Medium tows (like 3K wet-process) are suitable for construction repair and shipbuilding surface lamination, offering high modulus and no resin-starved areas / dry spots; Large tows (25K and above) are used for local reinforcement of shipbuilding masts or winding. We provide model comparisons and third-party test reports, passing fatigue tests and flame retardant standards (UL94 V0, FAR 25.853).
    • How is the performance stability of high modulus carbon fiber under extreme temperatures?
High modulus fiber performance is stable. Tested by CNAS laboratory Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) instruments, supporting wind power-related certifications. The Limit Oxygen Index (LOI) can be measured to ensure reliable interface properties and wettability under high/low temperatures.
    • What are the certification and testing standards for the Carbon Fiber Fabric?
Batch testing standards, with one COA report covering 1-100 rolls; CNAS certified laboratory measures physical and chemical indicators such as carbon fiber/product tension, compression, bending, and Limit Oxygen Index. Passed fatigue tests and meets flame retardant requirements (such as UL94 V0); third-party test reports are provided. The weaving workshop maintains constant temperature and humidity to ensure Grade A quality.
    • Why choose JiLin instead of importing directly from Japan/USA?
Choosing us avoids supply chain disruption risks and provides full-process technical support and high delivery speeds. Performance is at a world-class level, but with better pricing and the world's No. 1 capacity; strategic cooperation ensures stable supply.
